Font Family

“It just creates a different user experience that is less curated by the type designer." Noel Leu

Switch is inspired by Swiss type and the cultivation of independent type practise. As type tools are increasingly easier to access, type can begin to have more uncommon characteristics. The modernist attitude to obtain a transparent identity, letting the words themselves communicate a context, accompanied by independence, created the idea to design a diverse typeface that is both neutral and expressive.

1,392 Glyphs, 12 Styles, 3 Weights

Switch has been developed as a variable font to give designers a flexible experience when using the typeface. Allowing the user to change 3 variables, adjusting the weight, stroke ending angles and slide render. With over 950,000 possible outcomes, creating an independent type with personally curated characteristics, contrasts the practical application of neutral pre-set styles. Designed by Harrison Marshall.
